earthsermons.org is powered by Virignia Interfaith Power and Light (VIPL), an organizaiton dedicated to caring for and healing God’s creation by encouraging citizens to connect their faith with their responsibility to proclaim and live lives that make a minimal impact on God’s creation.

All three Abrahamic faiths – Islam, Judaism, and Christianity – share a common belief in a creator God. Being in a right relationship with God compels us to be in a right relationship with God’s creation. We call this stewardship. Virginia Interfaith Power and Light provides challenges, encouragement, and resources to empower Virginia’s faith communities to live out the call to be good stewards.

VIPL is a program of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy, a nonpartisan coalition of faith communities working to create change through education and public policy. We unite people of faith in Virginia and bring their voices to the public square, including the General Assembly. With partner organizations across the state and a mobilized grassroots network, we empower faithful advocates to LEARN about the issues challenging our communities, PRAY for guidance and discernment, and ACT to make Virginia a more just and compassionate commonwealth.
